Bellfield Primary School is an inclusive community where every child is valued, supported and empowered to thrive. Our SEND vision is built on the belief that all pupils, regardless of their needs, strengths or barriers to learning, deserve a high‑quality education that enables them to achieve their potential and feel proud of who they are.

We work closely with families to understand each pupil as an individual and to provide the right support at the right time. We carefully plan teaching, use targeted interventions and have a nurturing environment to support all learners and ensure all pupils have full access to a broad and balanced curriculum. We also aim to develop pupil's independence and build confidence to support their learning. All our staff are committed to removing barriers, celebrating every pupil's success and promoting a culture where differences are understood, respected and embraced.

At Bellfield Primary School, we actively work with external professionals including; speech and language therapists, specialist teachers, educational psychologists, occupational therapy and Birmingham Children's Trust. 

By working in partnership with parents, carers and external professionals, we create a personalised, ambitious and supportive pathway for every pupil. Our aim is for all pupils with SEND to feel safe, included and successful,  academically and socially, so they leave Bellfield ready for the next stage of their education with resilience, confidence and a love of learning.

Supporting families

Here at Bellfield Primary School, we are always ready to offer help and support. We acknowledge that having a child with additional needs can be difficult. We are always ready to offer any support or help. This can be done either through speaking to your class teacher or contact Mrs Priddon (Phase 1 SENDco) or Mrs Topping (Phase 2 SENDCo) through the school office. We also have Pastoral support that can be offered to parents from our dedicated pastoral team; Beccy Brittle and Mrs Harvey. 

If your child attends Bellfield Primary School then please feel free to contact any of the staff above using Class Dojo. There are also members of the Senior Leadership Team and Pastoral Team that are available to talk to on the playground at the beginning and end of the day.
