Pupil Parliament
"Belonging, Believing, Together Achieving"
Our school has a Pupil Parliament, with 'ministers' (MPs) from each constituency (class) from Year 1 to Year 6. Each MP is selected by their peers through a voting system. After MPs are chosen, pupils in Y5 & Y6 can then apply to be the Prime Minister. Pupils campaign before making a speech in front of the whole school, who then vote on who they want to be prime minister.
MPs have areas of responsibility across the school - such as Maths, OPAL, English, Environment etc. MPs work with subject leaders, take views from children and report to the Senior Leadership Team and Governors throughout the year.
In recent years, Pupil Parliament have been involved in a number of school project such as; the school uniform and the menu from the school kitchen.
